Gorgeous antique handmade French handbag from the early 20th century, with a rich pattern of golden and dark pansies with emerald foliage, framed in mauve, against a dark mysterious background of iridescent navy swirled with gold. Constructed entirely of microbeads, the bag is subtle in low-light but sparkles with flashes of grand jewel tones under bright light. Features a frame of silver-tone metal pressed with a floral pattern, with kiss-lock clasp shaped like flower buds. The paperclip chain is longer than usual, allowing for comfortable usage in the hand, on the elbow, and also on the shoulder. Lined with original damask silk lining in a bright abstract floral print of watercoloured blue, gold and purple. In excellent and usable condition.
